Paes-Dlouhy lose the semis of Madrid Masters

New Delhi: Leander Paes and Lukas Dlouhy were ousted from ATP Madrid Masters after suffering a straight set defeat at the hands of top seeds Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic.

The third seed Indo-Czech pair lost the semifinal clash of the clay court event 3-6 4-6 to the Canadian-Serbian pair.

Paes and Dlouhy split euro 39,980 prize money and got 360 ranking points each.

Paes and Dlouhy had won the Miami Masters event in March and semifinal appearance in this tournament is their best performance since then.

They lost the quarter-finals of the Rome Masters and could not go beyond second round of the Monte Carlo Masters event in Monaco.
