Playing under the roof changes playing conditions
London: British tennis champion Andy Murray has said that he has played twice at Wimbledon under the roof, and says that it changes the playing conditions.
"Last time I made a comment on it, and for some reason it came out as I hated it, I never said that. The roof changes the conditions. If anything it``s almost too perfect. There``s no wind, no sun, no elements to contend with. It is different grass-court tennis" Murray said after his four set win against Daniel Gimeno-Tavier in a Wimbledon opener.
The encounter turned out to be fierce, but Murray insisted that the experience was different, rather than unpleasant.
Daniel Gimeno-Traver offered tough resistance, but finally lost. The last score being 4-6, 6-3, 6-0, 6-0.
He last contested indoors at Wimbledon against Stanislas Wawrinka in 2009.
