New Delhi: Ball boys hardly get the credit for the amount of hard work they put in on a tennis court. While two or four players hog all the limelight, the ball boys are constantly in action to ensure smooth functioning of the play.
However, occasionally, ball boys do get praise from the spectators.
In one of the matches in Australian Open 2012, one of the ball boys stunned the crowd with a sensational one-handed catch.
The incident happened after Roger Federer served long and as his opponent had returned the serve, the Swiss legend worked the tennis ball towards the ball boy, who dived to his right to grab a one-handed catch.
The crowd was all praise for the young ball boy who earned a name for himself with the brilliant effort.
All we are wondering is, with catching skills like that – what is he doing on a tennis court?
