Sania Mirza thanks family, fans after an 'amazing year'

Soon after winning the WTA Tour Finals, Indian tennis star Sania Mirza conveyed her gratitude to all the fans for their relentless support.

Sania shared her feelings through her personal account on micro-blogging site Twitter.

Sania won the prestigious WTA Tour doubles title with Zimbabwean Cara Black in Singapore on Sunday.

The 27-year-old also thanked her family and staff for helping her achieve huge success in 2014.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Pranab Mukherjee too congratulated Sania for her latest achievement.

2014 has been a very triumphant year for Sania, as she captured the mixed double titles at the US Open and followed it with two medals – a gold and a silver at 2014 Asian Games.
