Paris: Last year`s finalist Samantha Stosur will be eager to rediscover her touch when she starts her French Open campaign with a first-round match against Czech Iveta Benesova on Sunday.

The eighth-seeded Australian will open proceedings on centre court in the clay grand slam.

"Everyone has to deal with the pressure and the expectations from themselves in different ways so I don`t think it`s bad but I`d like to be playing a bit better than I am," Stosur, who lost to Italy`s Francesca Schiavone last year, said earlier this month.

Former champion Svetlana Kuznetsova, the 13th seed, will play far from the spotlight on Court One against Slovakia`s Magdalena Rybarikova as Roland Garros organisers save centre court spots for local favourites.

Mathilde Johansson will be up against rising prospect Julia Goerges of Germany, seeded 17th, on the Philippe Chatrier after fellow Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga`s encounter with Czech Jan Hacek.

Former world number one Jelena Jankovic of Serbia will take on Ukraine`s Alona Bondarenko on Court Suzanne Lenglen after Lleyton Hewitt, another former world number one, entertains Spaniard Albert Montanes.

Organisers announced on Saturday that 23rd seed Alisa Kleybanova of Russia had pulled out.
