London: Defending US Open champion Andy Murray has reportedly been presented with a shiny pair of gold, purple and green boxing shorts to commemorate his triumphant win at Wimbledon earlier this summer.
The report said that purple and green are the traditional colours of the All England Club.
According to Metro.co.uk, ahead of his title defence with Frenchman Michael Llodra in the first round at Flushing Meadows, Murray, a boxing fan, was gifted the shorts by boxing presenter Adam Smith, with Murray`s mother Judy tweeting pictures of the presentation at Flushing Meadows on Monday.
The report said that Murray appeared delighted with the gift, which was emblazoned with the words ` Wimbledon champion 2013`.
The Scot begins his US Open campaign against Llodra on Wednesday, the report added.
