US Open 2013 Men`s singles final: Novak Djokovic – Road to final

New York: The Arthur Ashe stadium is set to witness an epic clash tonight. World Number 1 Novak Djokovic will play World No. 2 Rafael Nadal in the men’s singles final of the US Open 2013. Djokovic and Rafa will play their 37th match against each other and their sixth Grand Slam final. Rafa has an edge over Djokovic 22-15. The winner of the match will earn a second US Open title and become the ninth player in the Open Era with at least two titles. Djokovic is appearing in his third major final of the season for the third consecutive year. It is Serb’s fourth straight US Open final and fifth overall. He is the first player to reach four finals in a row here since Roger Federer (2004-09). While Nadal’s run till the semis was relatively easier, Nole had to battle past Swiss Stanislas Wawrinka in a four hour long duel in the semi-final. Nadal is yet to break his serve in the tournament and has a 22-0 win record in the hard courts. Nonetheless, the viewers can definitely expect high drama at the Flushing Meadows, as both the champions slog it out till the end for a win.
