New Delhi: A squirrel interrupted play at US Open for a brief period on Monday when women's doubles action was taking place on court five.
During a match between Casey Dellacqua, Yaroslava Shvedova and Serbian pair Jelena Jankovic and Aleksandra Krunic, a squirrel rushed onto the court to surprise the players and spectators.
The unexpected visitor couldn’t find her way back even when the players tried to shoo it away.
Later, a ball girl managed chased the squirrel into the stands.
