London: Roger Federer saw off Mikhail Youzhny in a one-sided Wimbledon quarterfinal lasting barely 90 minutes on Wednesday.
The Swiss third seed hit 25 winners on his way to a 6-1, 6-2, 6-2 victory to set up a semi-final with top seed Novak Djokovic or Germany`s Florian Mayer, the 31 seed.
Youzhny, the 26th seed, had no answer for Federer`s aggressive game, but leaves the tournament having eclipsed his previous best of a fourth round finish.
He was the last Russian remaining in the men`s or women`s draw after Maria Kirilenko narrowly lost out to third seed Agnieszka Radwanska 5-7, 6-4, 5-7 in the quarter-finals.
Youzhny`s best scalp on his path to the quarter-finals was eighth seed Janko Tipsarevic in the third round.
