Grass my worst surface: Davydenko

Grass my worst surface: DavydenkoLondon: Russian tennis player Nikolay Davydenko acknowledged that grass is his least favored surface after crashing out in the first round of Wimbledon to fourth seed Andy Murray.

The Briton needed barely 90 minutes to breeze past Davydenko in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1, 6-4 at SW19, where the 31-year-old Russian has never made it past round four.

"I`ve always found it hard to play on grass, that`s why I never take notice of whether it`s my opponent`s best surface," Davydenko said after Tuesday`s thrashing.

He put his best run in 2007, when playing as sixth seed he was ousted by Cypriot Marcos Baghdatis, down to the inertia from the preceding French Open, where he had made it to the semi-finals.

"I have made the fourth round here one single time, but that was after the Roland Garros semi-final when you arrive on a high, everything goes in," Davydenko said.

The World No. 47 revealed the most modest of targets for the London Olympics, when the tennis world returns to Wimbledon from July 28 to August 5.

"The Olympics gets you decent points. Any tournament, any result, even if I just win the first round at the Olympics, I will feel good," Davydenko said.

Murray plays Croatia`s Ivo Karlovic or Dudi Sela of Israel in round two.
