Nadal believes thinking of winning Wimbledon title is ‘arrogant and crazy’

Nadal believes thinking of winning Wimbledon title is ‘arrogant and crazy’	London: Tennis ace Rafael Nadal has said it is too early for him to consider winning the Wimbledon 2012, describing the thought as ‘arrogant and crazy’.

The two-time champion, who last year lost to Novak Djokovic in the final, is in superb form coming into the tournament. But despite his good form, the second seed is not taking anything for granted ahead of the Wimbledon fortnight.

“Thinking about winning another title here in Wimbledon is arrogant and crazy. That’s something I can’t do at this stage,” Nadal was quoted as saying.

The 11-time Grand Slam winner, 26, won the French Open for a record seventh time earlier this month, beating world No.1 Djokovic in a rain-delayed final, as he completed another clean sweep of the clay-court events.

It was the Spaniard’s third straight win over Djokovic, having beaten him in the final of the Monte Carlo Masters in April and the Rome Masters last month.

“I’m very happy about the way things have gone in the last few months, since the beginning of the year and the Australian Open I have been playing very well,” Nadal said.

“But all I am thinking just now is about practice tomorrow, to keep preparing my game so I can arrive on Tuesday in the right condition and be competitive in my first match. That’s my goal,” he added.
