Wimbledon: In another men’s singles match, Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga reached the fourth round for the third straight year by beating Lukas Lacko of Slovakia 6-4, 6-3, 6-3.

Three-time Wimbledon runner-up and 30-seeded Andy Roddick lost in the third round on Saturday, beaten by No. 7-seeded David Ferrer of Spain 2-6, 7-6 (8), 6-4, 6-3.

Four-time Wimbledon winner Serena Williams survived a scare as she came from a set down to beat 25th seed Jie Zheng 6-7 (7/5), 6-2, 9-7.

Lukas Rosol, the man who conquered Rafael Nadal couldn’t create any more upset at the Wimbledon, as he fell in straight sets to Philipp Kohlschreiber who defeated him 6-2, 6-3, 7-6 (8/6).

In the mixed doubles category, French Open champions Mahesh Bhupathi and Sania Mirza were knocked out of the Wimbledon as they suffered a 3-6, 1-6 defeat to the unseeded pair of Australian P Hanley and Russia`s A Kudryavtseva.

Meanwhile India’s ace tennis player Leander Paes and his Czech partner Radek Stepanek notched up a 6-2 6-4 7-6 (5) victory over Isreali combination of Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram in a match that lasted for two hours and 20 minutes.

Hello and welcome to the sixth day of Wimbledon 2012. On Saturday, Djokovic and Federer both advanced to the next round after struggling in their matches.

While World No.1 Djokovic defeated Czech Radek Stepanek 4-6, 6-2, 6-2, 6-2 and reach the Wimbledon fourth round while six-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer fought back from two sets to love down to win 4-6, 6-7 (3/7), 6-2, 7-6 (8/6) against French 29th seed Julien Benneteau.

P. Kohlschreiber beat L. Rosol 6-2, 6-3, 7-6




P. Kvitova beat V. Lepchenko 6-1, 6-0

A.Ivanovic beat J. Goerges 3-6, 6-3, 6-4

Y. Shvedova beat S.Errani 6-0, 6-4

F. Schiavone beat K. Zakopalova 6-0, 6-4

T. Paszek beat Y. Wickmayer 2-6, 7-6, 7-5



L. Paes and R. Stepanek beat J.Erlich and A.Ram 6-2, 6-4, 7-6

B.Bryan and M. Bryan beat J. Delgado and K. Skupski 7-6, 6-0, 6-2
