Dustin Brown: Interesting facts you must know about the flamboyant German!

New Delhi: There seems to be no end to Rafael Nadal's ordeal. The latest player to inflict pain on the Spaniard was stylish Dustin Brown, the German who knocked him out 7-5, 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 in second round of Wimbledon.

While Brown's ldreadlocks are making a lot of headlines, here are few other important things to know about the 30-year-old!

Ridiculous it may sound, but Dustin Brown has not cut his hair for 19 years. While as Indians, we wonder how a player can be so agile on the court with such long locks, Brown has showed exactly how to do it!

It's not the first time that Brown has defeated Nadal. Brown defeated Rafa in straight sets at the Gerry Weber Open in 2014.

Brown certainly loves to play at the Wimbledon, a tournament where he defeated the 2002 Champion and former world No. 1, Lleyton Hewitt, in four sets, in the second round.

Brown was born in Celle, West Germany on December 8, 1984 to a Jamaican father and German mother. As a kid he was more fond of playing soccer, judo and handball but switched to playing tennis at the age of eight.

The 30-year-old, who has never made it to a final of an ATP event, used to travel to tournaments in a VW camper, which was gifted to him by his parents, who were worried about the lack of support from Tennis Jamaica.

At the Centre Court on Thursday, the tattoo inked on his torso grabbed a lot of limelight and many misunderstood it to be that of Bob Marley. However, as per Brown's admission, it's his father Leroy.

Dustin brown is currently ranked 102 and his highest ever ATP rank is 76. When he first made it into the top 100, he changed his vehicle's number plate. The plate read CE DI 100 - CE for Brown's birthplace in Celle, Germany; D for Dustin, I for Inge; 100 for the ranking.
