New Delhi: Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, who is a big tennis fan, praised Indian tennis ace Leander Paes after he won yet another Grand Slam title on Sunday.

The batting maestro took to social micro-blogging site Twitter to hail Paes, who on won his 16th Grand Slam title.

Paes, along with Martina Hingis registered a comprehensive 6-1, 6-1 win over Austrian-Hungarian pair of Alexander Peya and Timea Babos.

Tendulkar, who was present at the All England Club to watch the semi-final encounter between Roger Federer and Andy Murray earlier in the tournament, also hailed the performances of 17-year-old Sumit Nagal, for winning the Wimbledon Junior Doubles title.

It was a historic moment for Indian tennis at Wimbledon 2015 this year, where for the first time, India won three titles in three different categories.

Apart from Paes and Nagal, Sania Mirza too made the country proud when she won her first Wimbledon women’s doubles title pairing Hingis with a 5-7 7-6 7-5 win over Makarova-Vesnina.
