London: Tomas Berdych was knocked out of Wimbledon by Gilles Simon on Monday but that was news to one reporter who was convinced the Czech had triumphed.
Berdych, the 2010 runner-up, lost 6-3, 6-3, 6-2 to the 12th seeded Simon who made the last eight for the first time.
However, one reporter asked Berdych how he felt ahead of playing the quarter-finals.
"Sorry? Excuse me?," said a bemused Berdych before the moderator reminded the journalist that the sixth seed had in fact been defeated.
"Does he know right, or is he trying to make fun of me?," fired back Berdych.
