Ferrer felt it could take him another 10-15 days to recover until then it would not be possible to give a 100% on the court.
However, the veteran tennis player said he would be playing in the league in 2015. Ferrer was part of the Punjab Marshalls team in the CTL.
Promoter of the CTL, Vijay Amritraj said it was a blow not just to the Punjab Marshalls but also for the league as a whole. It would be interesting to see who the organizers name as a replacement for the high-profile Spaniard. Amritraj also wished Ferrer a speedy recovery.
