Yuki out of Kazakhstan Challenger tournament

New Delhi: Youth Olympics silver medalist Yuki Bhambari crashed out of the ATP Challenger event in Kazakhstan after suffering a straight-set defeat at the hands of third seed Andrej Martin.

Yuki, a wild card entrant, lost 2-6 4-6 to his Slovakioan opponent in the opening round of the USD 50,000 hard court event.

Yuki had withdrawn from the Youth Olympics final due to a foot injury.

Meanwhile, Purav Raja and Ausralia`s Sadik Kadir, top seeds, moved to the doubles quarterfinals after a getting a bye in the first round.

They will face Juan-Manuel Valverde of Argentina and Daniel Joo of Korea in the quarter-finals.
