World Cup 2011 hero Yuvraj Singh was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in his left lung less than a year after the mega event. He underwent chemotherapy sessions at the Cancer Research Institute in Boston and Medicine Facilities in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Yuvraj was discharged from the hospital after completing the third and final cycle of chemotherapy and returned to India in April.
The gutsy all-rounder made a grand comeback to cricket in the 2nd T20 against New Zealand where he scored a quick fire 34 off 26 balls to quash any doubts regarding his fitness and ability to continue playing International cricket. He then played T20 World Cup where he has moderate success.
He even made a comeback in Test cricket, scoring a fine half-century in the first Test against England at Ahmedabad.
