Ahmedabad: Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha and one of BJP's main strategists Arun Jaitley on Thursday met Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and discussed the strategy for the next phase of the party's assembly poll campaign which begins from Monday.

"Jaitleyji is here to discuss the strategy ahead for the next phase of campaigning," BJP sources said.

Jaitley held a meeting with the Chief Minister in Gandhinagar after he arrived in the evening and then visited the party headquarters.

Campaigning is expected to pick up from Monday after a few days' lull due to Diwali and Gujarati New Year.
