Zeenews Bureau

Ahmedabad: Congress party has complained to the Election Commission over the flashing of victory sign by Narendra Modi just after casting his vote on Monday.

In its complaint, the Congress also accused the Gujarat Chief Minister of addressing his supporters after coming out Nishan High School in Ranip locality.

"I thank all the voters. In this election, people of Gujarat will make a hat-trick by giving a third term to us. People of the state will once again vote BJP to power. The sentiment of people here is giving a clear indication of that," Modi told reporters.

He also termed the 2012 Gujarat Assembly elections as a "historic" one as it has been contested on the issues of good governance.

Modi, who is contesting from Maninagar Assembly constituency, is locked in a direct contest with Congress candidate Shweta Bhatt, wife of suspended IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt, a new entrant testing political waters for the first time.

P. Gaghavan - SURAT
No matter how loud his claims of so-called development are, no matter how much his (bogus) propaganda and (heavily) paid publicity/PR machines work in overdrive, a religiously biased and heavily tainted politician like Narendra Modi will never be acceptable to or accepted by the peoples of India at large. Notwithstanding his mis-placed personal ambitions, BJP will be committing a grave error if they field him as the PM candidate in the upcoming general elections. P. Gaghavan Chennai

Congress complaint is very true and considerable, since NaMo has shown V sign..BJP will have a landslide victory in whole Gujarat, else Congress would have won landslide majority!! Shame on you congi`s complaining to EC for such small thing. dont you guys understand code of conduct while announcing increase in subsidised cylinders and cash transfer schemes.

The congress already smells itself of its loosing in Gujarat. Both mother & son duo & the PM all tried their level best now they are making lame excuses like modi made victory sign, called Sonia mental, challanged Rahul etc etc actually the congress has not grown out of its own arrogant shadow. when the Gujjus have started teaching the Congis a lesson all are running wild like Pigs. They have already booked their dream destination at various foreign locales & would migrate once the congis are reduced to a minority regional party. Inshallah the day is not far behind.. What a wonderful leader Modi is & how maturily the BJP behaves in parliament Good show NDA esp BJP.
