India Inc congratulate BJP, Congress

New Delhi: India Inc on Thursday congratulated BJP and Congress on their respective wins in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh Assembly polls.

On BJP's victory in Gujarat, CII said: "The stability in the state would enhance confidence of the industry and herald new investments. The chamber has been working closely with the state government and looks forward to continuing its engagement with it for Gujarat's progress".

Commenting on Congress' victory in Himachal Pradesh, CII said: "The mandate provides a great opportunity for the new government to take necessary and bold measures for development of infrastructure and industrial clusters in the state. CII looks forward to working very closely with the new government".

Assocham on BJP's victory in Gujarat said: "The Gujarat government under the able guidance of Narendra Modi has been an epitome of good governance and path-breaking development, evidently as the state has made remarkable progress during the course of last decade".

Talking about Himachal Pradesh, Assocham said, "We are confident that with the Congress coming to power in Himachal, the state will be able to achieve the development target and betterment of people in the coming years".

Narendra Modi of BJP performed a hat-trick retaining power for the third time in Gujarat, while Congress ousted BJP from office in Himachal Pradesh.
