Ahmedabad: As BJP Chief Minister Narendra Modi appeared set to return to power in Gujarat for a third consecutive time, BJP spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman described it as a victory for good governance.
“It will be the fifth successive time that the Congress is being rejected in Gujarat,” Sitharaman said.
However, she added that there was an attempt to undermine this victory.
“Here’s a chief minister who is bucking all trends, including of anti-incumbency. This shows pro-incumbency. It is a victory for good governance,” the spokesperson added.
