Imphal: Unidentified militants exploded a powerful bomb at the house of a Congress candidate in Imphal West district of Manipur, the police said on Monday.

Sources said the militants threw the bomb at around 10.30 pm yesterday at R K Anand's house at Naoriya Pakhang Lakpa area. Anand who is contesting from Naoriya Pakhang Lakpa assembly constituency and his family members were present in the house at the time of the incident.

The attackers fled under the cover of darkness, sources said.

CORCOM members have been attacking Congress candidates and their supporters since the party was against the 'revolutionary movement' in Manipur.
