BSP MLA quits party, likely to join Congress

Bulandshahr: In a setback to Bahujan Samaj Party in the district, sitting MLA from Shikarpur Assembly segment here Vasudev Singh on Monday left the party.

According to sources close to the MLA, he is likely to be inducted in Congress tommorow during Rahul Gandhi's scheduled election campaign.

Singh had won from Shikarpur (R) constituency in 2007 on BSP ticket.

After delimitation, he had tried for nomination from Khurja (R) constituency, which was refused by the party.
