Lucknow: A case has been registered against UP state Parliamentary Affairs Minister Lalji Verma and BSP zonal coordinator Jugal Kishore for alleged violation of the model code of conduct, officials said.

Both the leaders had held an election meeting at Sahkarita Bhavan here yesterday without taking permission following which an FIR was lodged at the Hazratganj police station against them, a senior official said.
