Cases registered for violating model code of conduct

Janpad: Cases of violation of the model code of conduct were registered against two candidates from different assembly constituencies here.
Violating Article 144, Congress candidate Jitendra Yadav addressed a public meeting in Mitthepur village in Secunderabad assembly constituency last evening without taking permission, said SSP RKS Rathore.
He was accompanied by an MLA from Jammu and Kashmir.
Siyaram Varshney, in-charge, Surveillance Static Team has registered case against Yadav, his 12 supporters and 150 unknown people.
In another case, an SP candidate from Debai constituency, Guddu Pandit, organised a musical programme in Muhammadpur Village after taking the permission for a public meeting on February one.
Following the complaint of villagers, a case has been registered against Pandit and his two supporters in the Kasba Chhatri police station.
