Lucknow: Over Rs 11 lakh in cash was on Monday recovered by static surveillance teams constituted by the Election Commission from Mainpuri and Deoria districts, official sources said here.

While unaccounted cash of Rs one lakh was recovered in Mainpuri, Rs 10.26 lakh was recovered in Deoria during checking by static surveillance units, they said.

Income tax teams have been asked to probe the source of the money.
