Etawah: Three traders were killed when the car in which they were travelling collided with a truck on the national highway here due to dense fog, police said Friday.

The traders, belonging to Bharthana area of the district, were killed last night after their SUV was hit by the truck on the Etawah-Kanpur road, they said.

The truck driver fled from the scene leaving the vehicle behind, police said adding the bodies have been sent for post mortem examination.

In a separate incident, two persons were killed in a road accident in Ghazipur yesterday, police said today.

The driver and cleaner of a stationary truck were killed after a speeding truck dashed into it near Govindpur village under Mardah police station area.
