Badaun (UP): Separate FIRs were on Saturday lodged against candidates of the Samajwadi Party and Jan Kranti Party for allegedly violating the model code of conduct in Shekhupur area here, police said here.

Jan Kranti Party candidate Puja Kashyap and SP nominee Ashish Yadav have been charged with putting posters in villages in violation of the model code of conduct.

Separate FIRs has been lodged against the two.
