Rae Bareli: Former Samajwadi Party MLA from Gauriganj Assembly constituency Jang Bahadur Singh on Wednesday joined Congress.

Singh, who was denied SP ticket for the upcoming Assembly elections, joined Congress in the presence of Priyanka Gandhi at the Bhuemau guest house, where she had been meeting party workers since yesterday.

Singh said by joining Congress he had "returned to his home" from where he had started politics.

Singh was elected as Block Pramukh when he was in Congress.
