Bahraich: The 200-km-long Indo-Nepal border along Uttar Pradesh's three districts, which will go to polls on February 8, was sealed today to prevent movement of anti-social elements during the state Assembly elections.

"Over 200 km of Indo-Nepal border along Bahraich, Shravasti and Balrampur districts, which will go to polls on February 8, was sealed today," SSB Commandant Manvendra Singh Negi said here.

Security along the borders has been stepped up so that anti-social elements could not infiltrate into the state and disrupt polling, an official said.

20 lakh voters will decide the fate of 107 candidates in Bahraich district in the first phase of the UP polls on February 8.
