Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has reportedly reached a sessions court in Mumbai to record his statement on the 13-year-old hit-and-run case in which he allegedly ran his vehicle over pavement dwellers.
The police officer, who had registered an FIR against actor Salman Khan in 2002 in the hit-and-run case, informed the trial court today that Khan was not found at the accident spot after the mishap on that day or at his house, which was barely 200 metres away.
The Salman Khan 2002 hit-and-run case seems to be one roller coaster ride for the actor. A day after the fourth witness identified the actor in court, now comes the latest development. Reportedly, the witness, a waiter in the bar during his cross-questioning said he doesn`t really remember having seen the actor consuming alcohol himself.
The stage is set for a fresh trial against actor Salman Khan in the 2002 hit-and-run case with Maharashtra government rejecting the prosecution`s plea to file an appeal against the order of a sessions court for a re-trial.
