Cleaning and relief operations were underway at various villages of Bharuch district and parts of the old city after flood waters began receding quickly, a senior district official said here on Tuesday.
With water in Narmada dam flowing at 130.64 metre level following heavy rains in neighbouring Madhya Pradesh, the administrations in south Gujarat districts of Bharuch, Narmada have shifted more than 5,000 people to safer places.
