A dissident minister in Assam government Siddeque Ahmed on Monday demanded the removal of Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi`s for "failing" to stop recurrent violence in the Bodoland Territorial Area Districts.
Four militants of the anti-talk National Democratic Front of Bodoland (Songbijit) were arrested from a bus on the Bhumoraguri bridge over the river Brahmaputra in Sonitpur district, police said on Saturday.
