to boycott the Bonn Conference.
Merkel said Germany would "see what could be done to change" Islamabad`s decision.
Afghanistan hoped that Islamabad could reverse a decision to boycott the talks.
The Pakistan government also asked the US to vacate the Shamsi airbase, believed to be the main base for CIA-operated drones, in 15 days.
