615 cadets passed out after successfully completing a rigorous training course to join the Indian Army as officers.
Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has said that the National Defence Academy is an ideal platform for overall grooming of cadets.
Two hundred nineteen cadets, including 36 women, successfully completed the 14th Naval Orientation Course at the Indian Naval Academy at Ezhimala.
Defence Minister A K Antony urged the young cadets to rededicate themselves
to the service of the nation.
The maximum number of officers passing out this time was
from Uttar Pradesh at 102 followed by Uttarakhand with 58 and
Haryana with 47.
It was a proud moment for
22-year-old Gaurav Hridaya, who was adjudged the best
all-rounder cadet at the Passing Out Parade at Indian Military
