Despite the enforcement of the
Right To Education (RTE) Act, complaints related to schools
including those of corporal punishment top the list of cases both before the national child rights
commission and its Delhi counterpart.

DCPCR has written to the city govt
enquiring about the quantum of help doled out to the injured
children in last week`s building collapse incident.
Over 9,100 Delhi students have
approached the capital`s child rights body with complaints
over denial of admission and other matters under Right to
Education Act since the legislation came into being in April.
