Public is being looted at the Delhi-Noida Toll Bridge. According to figures, Rs 428 crores were spent in the construction of the DND flyover, out of which Rs 20 crores were contributed by the Noida authority. As per the DND records, an estimated Rs 698 crores have been recovered so far.
Federation of Noida Residents Welfare Association (Fonrwa), which had planned to stage a protest at DND flyway against the hike in the flyway's toll rates, today postponed their agitation for one week.
The Unified Traffic and Transportation Infrastructure (Planning and Engineering) Centre (UTTIPEC) today gave its nod for the construction of a loop allowing direct access to the Barapullah elevated road from DND flyover and drawing of second carriageway of Rao Tula Ram flyover and underpass at Benito Juarez Marg.
The Noida Toll Bridge Company (NTBC) has assured the authorities that it will rollback the hike in tariff for using the Delhi-Noida-Delhi(DND) Flyway that connects the satellite town to the national capital, an official said.
