Power tariff in the city may go up next month as Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission is all set to levy a fuel surcharge to help the private distribution companies adjust their power purchase cost.
The Aam Aadmi Party Sunday demanded that the law setting up the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) should be amended to make the panel accountable to the people as it showed "extreme reluctance" to fix the accountability for power cuts in the city.
