A division bench of the Kerala High Court on Friday convicted 24 people in the 1996 Suryanelli gang-rape case.
A Special bench of the Kerala High Court, constituted to hear the Suriyanelli rape case, on Monday issued notice to Dharmarajan, prime accused in the case.
The case pertains to the alleged abduction and rape of a 16-year-old from Suryanelli in Idukki district in 1996.
The special team of Kerala Police on Friday nabbed Dharmarajan, the main absconding convict in the Suryanelli gang-rape case allegedly involving Rajya Sabha Deputy chairman PJ Kurien.
