The electorate in Tamil Nadu has crossed the five crore mark with the addition of over 66 lakh voters since 2011 and 34 lakh among them are women.
As the nation gears up for the 16th Lok Sabha polls, India`s electorate has grown nearly five times from what it was during the first general elections in 1951-52.
Tamil Nadu has a total electorate of over 5.16 crore as per the latest Special Summary Revision of Rolls during which an additional 11.08 lakh voters were enrolled.
There are only 35 transgenders
among 1.15 crore strong electorate who are eligible to vote in the Delhi municipal elections on Sunday.
Accusing Congress and Samajwadi
