Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy today assured the Assembly that the government was ready to extend all possible help to assuage the sufferings of people affected by spraying of endosulfan pesticide in Kasargod district.
The Supreme Court on Friday took
a serious note of government`s failure to meet the two-month
deadline on submitting its interim report on the possibility
of imposing a complete ban on pesticide Endosulfan.
Kerala government on Friday
cancelled the licence for production of endosulfan given to
public sector Hindustan Insecticide Limited, Kochi in view of
government decision to ban the pesticide`s sale in the state.
