Two former police officers, who were with Ahmedabad crime branch at the time of killing of Ishrat Jahan, have told CBI that IPS officer DG Vanzara (now suspended) had told them that police had political nod for the operation.
Eleven Gujarat policemen, including mid-level officers, who were named as accused in the FIR filed by CBI in the Ishrat Jahan encounter case but not chargesheeted, have been made witnesses by the probe agency.
