Entering the last phase of relief operations in flood-hit Uttarakhand, the Indian Air Force on Saturday said it has completed the evacuation of stranded pilgrims in Harsil using 26 of its aircraft there.
Three days after an MI-17V5 helicopter crashed killing 20 IAF, ITBP and NDRF personnel, another chopper crash landed in Harsil on Friday.
In the last leg of their rescue operations in Uttarakhand, the Army said it has completed evacuation of all pilgrims stranded in Harsil.
Multiple agencies involved in the search and rescue operations in flood-ravaged Uttrakhand completed completed their work in Kedarnath on Thursday.
