The headmistress of a government school has been suspended as over 80 students fell ill after eating Mid-Day Meal (MDM) in Kendrapara district.
The school headmistress was arrested following the alleged rape of a seven-year old girl student on the school premises.
A court Tuesday granted bail to Sharlet Furtado, the headmistress of the school in Vasco town, where a seven-year-old girl was raped on January 14.
Six minor girl students were
allegedly beaten up by their headmistress when they demanded "adequate" number of text books for preparing for the exams in Kasturba Gandhi residential school in Dausa district.
