India`s second international-standard multi-use Integrated Check Post and the first along the Bangladesh border will be opened to people at Akhaurah in Tripura on November 17, officials said.
Integrated Check Post (ICP) along the Indo-Bangla international border at Akhaura, near here would be opened in November next to provide facilities under one roof, official sources said on Thursday.
Food Minister KV Thomas inspected the Integrated Check Post (ICP) at Attari/Wagah border Amritsar and also visited the container terminal. He said that he was here to inspect the operation of ICP, especially trade with Pakistan.
The newly-built Integrated Check Post at the Wagah border on Pakistani side is fully secure and there is no threat to it, the Chief of Pakistan`s border guarding force said.
To facilitate easy movement of
people and goods between India and Nepal, a swanky Integrated
Check Post (ICP) will start functioning at Jogbani in Bihar
along the border by August next year.
An Integrated Check Post with
state-of-the-art facilities will be set up at Attari on the
Indo-Pak border at a cost of Rs 150 crore by April next year.
