A week after two armed rebel groups laid down arms and signed peace pact with Meghalaya government, the state government has appointed interlocutors to negotiate for peace with yet another armed Garo militant outfit United Achik Liberation Army (UALA).
Centre`s former interlocutors on J&K said the primary aim of their current visit to the state is to submit the feedback, received from different political parties on the recommendations of their report, to the Union Home Ministry.
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister
Omar Abdullah on Monday expressed hope that Centre will implement
the recommendations made by its team of interlocutors for
addressing the political issues of the Kashmir problem.
