After surviving Boko Haram, returnees face hunger in Nigerian towns

 Since Nigeria`s army began clearing large areas of the country`s northeast from Boko Haram, some of the 1.5 million internally displaced people have started returning home. But thousands could now face severe food shortages as reconstruction lags behind.

An international aid agency has said that an estimated 600,000 people will be displaced from Khyber agency if security operations continued.

IMF to lend $3.2 bn to Pakistan

The IMF has approved an additional USD 3.2 billion loan to Pakistan to fund priority spending and help Islamabad provide assistance to nearly three million people displaced by military operations.
