Six people were injured and over 100 structures damaged in Saturday`s earthquake in the hilly Kishtwar district of Jammu region, as reports of damage started pouring in Sunday morning from inaccessible areas of the region.
A moderate intensity earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale hit parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh Friday.
The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and scientists of IITs have assessed damages caused by the recent earthquake, which shook the entire Chenab Valley in Jammu and Kashmir on May 1.
