A large number of devotees including Sadhus on Friday joined "Chhari Pujan" at a temple here, marking the beginning of the culmination phase of the 44-day annual yatra to the 3,880 metre high holy cave shrine of Amarnath in south Kashmir Himalayas.
Pilgrims to the Amarnath cave shrine in South Kashmir Himalayas will have to submit a compulsory health certificate while seeking registeration for the annual pilgrimage, Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) on Friday said.
Six pilgrims died on way to the Amarnath cave, even as the number of yatris who had `darshan` of the naturally formed ice-shivlingam at the 3,880 metre high cave shrine crossed 4.5 lakh on Saturday, officials said.

diet chart prepared by the Shrine Board.
